How does it work?

GoVenture Simulation Designer is based on the creation of Learning Objects. Each Learning Object may consist of content elements such as text, graphics, animation, audio, and video (these elements must be previously created and ready to use). Launch GoVenture Simulation Designer and simply paste or link content elements into your new simulation, as follows:

• Click to add a new Learning Object.
• Open the Learning Object designer.
• Type your text and link your graphics, animation, audio, and/or video.
• Define learner action and response scoring. Actions include: click the Next button; wait for a set number of seconds; or answer a question (true/false, multiple choice, or short answer/essay). You decide where the learner will go next, depending on his/her selected action.
• Repeat the above steps for each Learning Object.
• Save your Simulation
• Make the simulation file, GoVenture Player software, and related content elements available to learners and tell them to play!
• GoVenture Simulation Designer automatically publishes your simulation as an executable EXE file along with subfolders and files that comprise the individual media elements used in the simulation (such as graphics, audio, video). The Simulation EXE file and related folders and files can be distributed on hard disk, network drive, CD-ROM, or other media. They can also be packaged using commonly available software (such as a ZIP archive) and made available for Internet download. (Note that simulations cannot be streamed or played inside an Internet browser.)

Create basic or sophisticated simulations using the Learning Objects approach, including:

• Testing — True/false, multiple-choice, or short answer/essay. All will be scored automatically, based on a highly customizable scoring system which you control.
• Branching — Based on learner response, jump to one or more Learning Objects. For example, create a sales training tool by simulating a sales conversation with a customer. The customer can be designed to respond differently based on the learner's choice of conversation.
• Demoing — Show a product using graphics, animation, or video and present and reinforce product knowledge.
• Modeling — Model manufacturing or other processes and test learner knowledge, skills, and performance.

Learning Objects are re-usable — create once and you can re-use in multiple simulations.
